Illidan was going to frost grip you, which is the only spell he technically knows. He planned to choke his brother to death and leave, never to return.
HOWEVER, something strange happened, Illidan's eyes rolled back in his head and he communed with the Old Gods. The magic in his hand closes around Malfurion's throat, but instead of pain, he feels healing magic course through his body.
Illidan snaps out of his trance and drops his hand, stopping the frostgrip.
